We are the HAF Memorial Foundation, and this year we will be hosting our 4th annual fundraising benefit on September 14th, 2024, at the Steele County Beer Gardens.

Hunter Frank was born in Owatonna in April of 2000. He grew up in Owatonna, where he graduated from Owatonna Senior High in 2018. Immediately after graduating, he enlisted with the U.S. Navy as an Aircrewman with the VP-26 Tridents. Sadly, on October 17th, 2020, he lost his life while on deployment to El Salvador.

In 2021 Brandon, Hunter’s older brother, and President of the Foundation, hosted a Memorial Motorcycle Ride around the Waseca/Owatonna area. The turnout from the ride inspired his family to go bigger, and in 2022 they hosted the 2nd Memorial Ride, followed by a benefit dinner and silent auction, where we raised $10,500 that was then donated to WWFS in Hunter’s name. In 2023 the event raised $11,200 which was donated to Wounded Warriers to support families of service members.

Hunter was always a beacon of joy to those around him, and he was always willing to drop everything to help out anyone in need. To honor his memory and carry on his legacy, his friends and family have formed the Hunter Alexander Frank Memorial Foundation. It is our mission to provide support to service members and the families of service members. We have been doing so by hosting an annual fundraising event and donating the proceeds to Wounded Warriors Family Support.
