GrimmSpeed After Hours: July
July 12, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
GrimmSpeed After Hours is back for 2019! If you haven’t had a chance to make it out to our shop for these events, this is the year to do it!
For those that came to the After Hours Events last year, this gathering on July 12th will be keeping much the same format. This is intended to be a casual gathering of Subaru enthusiasts, although all car owners are welcome as long as they’re respectful of what this get-together is all about! We want people to show off the cars that they’ve been shedding blood, sweat, and tears over, relax and get to know other like-minded enthusiasts, and above all, strengthen the Twin Cities car community. Bring your friends, family, dogs, etc. and pass the word around so we can make it the best season of After Hours yet!
Based on overwhelmingly positive feedback, we will be continuing on with GrimmSpeed shop tours during each meet with the following schedule: 6, 6:30, 7. These will be a great opportunity to ask GS staff questions (come prepared with some!) and see the company’s inner workings, which are normally closed off to the general public.
We’re also excited to announce that we will be picking one or more exceptional cars from the crowd to park in a VIP spot inside the warehouse for the following event. We will feature the car’s owner in a post on the GrimmSpeed Instagram/Facebook pages in between the meets. The goal is to shine a light on some of the unique cars and owners that Minnesota has to offer.
Since so many of you have requested it, we’ll be selling any GrimmSpeed products at the show AND be accepting credit cards as well as cash. One of our representatives will be available at our front desk to help with purchases.
There will be a small admission fee of $1 per person, each of which will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of a few GrimmSpeed products at a 7:30PM drawing. The official space in front of the shop is limited so spots will be first come, first serve. There is a lot of construction going on in the area so plan accordingly, we suggest entering Kennedy St. off Stinson Blvd. Photographers will be on site taking pictures of the event so make sure your car is clean and ready for an admiring audience, we plan to debut meet pictures on our social media the following week.
Most everyone did a great job of behaving at the last few events and the property owners and surrounding businesses recognized it, we would like to personally thank everyone for that. Let’s continue to bring that mature mentality to each event and keep the good times going.
I would still like to reiterate that we will be following a strict code of conduct and not tolerating any sort of negative behavior. In case some need a reminder, here’s a short list of things NOT to do:
Arriving in a car that looks like it’s been through a demo derby
Racing to and from the show
Bringing/consuming drugs or alcohol
