For the past 15 years, Classic Corvettes of Minnesota (CCOM) has sponsored a car show to raise funds for the Minneapolis Veterans Home. The Home provides 24-hour skilled- care nursing to approximately 300 veterans, has 50 short-term care beds and its adult day care center cares for up to 30 veterans five days a week, 8 hours a day. Newsweek recognized it as one of America’s Best Nursing Homes in 2022.

While the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs provides funding for care, their recreational budget relies completely on donations from Veteran Support Organizations and the community like CCOM; they do not receive any operating dollars to support those activities.

In a typical year, events include, fishing trips, boating trips, shopping, trips to museums and plays as well as larger at-home events such as Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Appreciation Day, MVH-Minneapolis State Fair and countless smaller events and BBQs.
