SUMMARY:Vettes for Vets 2025
DESCRIPTION:While there are plenty of car shows every weekend\, this one deserves your special attention. \nFor the past 17 years\, Classic Corvettes of Minnesota (CCOM) has sponsored a car show to raise funds for the Minneapolis Veterans Home. \nIf you attended last year thank you. 200 vehicles participated and raised over $5\,600 dollars. The monies were generated from registrations\, raffle items\, T-shirt sales and generous donations. We’ve added additional parking spaces this year. \nThe Veterans Home provides 24-hour skilled-care nursing to approximately 300 veterans\, has 50 short-term care beds and its adult day care center cares for up to 30 veterans five days a week\, 8 hours a day. \nThe Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs provides funding for care\, but the recreation budget relies completely on donations from support organizations like CCOM and the community. No operating dollars support those activities. \nTom Peters\, retired Director of Exterior Design\, for the C6\, C7\, and C8 and GM Performance Car Studio\, and his wife Carolyn\, also a former GM designer are planning to attend our event. Tom designed a Vettes for Vets T-shirt exclusively for this event. We will have a limited number of men’s and women’s T-shirts available for purchase. \nThe American Legion will be serving breakfast\, brats\, hamburgers\, and roasted corn on the cob during the car show.

SUMMARY:3rd Annual HAF Car and Bike Show
DESCRIPTION:We are the Hunter Alexander Frank Memorial Foundation\, and this year we will be hosting our\n3rd annual fundraising benefit on September 16th \n\, 2023\, at the Steele County Beer Gardens. \nHunter Frank was born in Owatonna in April of 2000. He grew up in\nOwatonna\, where he graduated from Owatonna Senior High in 2018.\nImmediately after graduating\, he enlisted with the U.S. Navy as an Aircrewman\nwith the VP-26 Tridents. Sadly\, on October 17th \n\, 2020\, he lost his life while on \ndeployment to El Salvador.\nIn 2021 Brandon\, Hunter’s older brother and President of the\nFoundation\, hosted a Memorial Motorcycle Ride around the Waseca/Owatonna\narea. The turnout from the ride inspired his family to go bigger\, and in 2022 they\nhosted the 2nd Memorial Ride\, followed by a benefit dinner and silent auction\,\nwhere we raised $10\,500 that was then donated to WWFS in Hunter’s name.\nHunter was always a beacon of joy to those around him\, and he was always willing to drop\neverything to help out anyone in need. To honor his memory and carry on his legacy\, his friends and\nfamily have formed the Hunter Alexander Frank Memorial Foundation. It is our mission to provide\nsupport to service members and the families of service members. We have been doing so by hosting\nan annual fundraising event and donating the proceeds to Wounded Warriors Family Support. WWFS\nis a foundation based in Nebraska that provides support for veterans and the families of veterans\nnationwide. For more information on WWFS\, please visit www.wwfs.org.\nWhat can you do to help? This year\, we are hosting a Car and Bike Show along with the 3rd\nAnnual Memorial Ride on Saturday\, September 16th\, 2023. We will also have a cornhole tournament\,\nsilent auction and include live entertainment and other family-orientated activities for a full day’s worth\nof fun! Our new goal for the year is to raise $15\,000 to donate to the Wounded Warriors Family\nSupport\, which we cannot achieve without the help of the community. There are a number of ways\nthat would help us tremendously\, and we will be acknowledging all of those who help on any level.\nSilent Auction Donation: This is a huge source of our funding. Anything that we can include in\nour silent auction\, such as gift certificates\, merchandise\, or services\, will help go a long way in helping us\nachieve our goal.\nSponsorship Opportunity: We have 3 sponsorship levels to choose from in order to help support\nour cause: Bronze\, Silver\, and Gold. Details of these levels are on the included donation form.\nOther Monetary Donations: If you wish to donate\, we are happy to accept any amount.
