Car of the Week Winner – Oct 4th, 2018

Congrats to Dan of Menomonie WI, you are this weeks “Car of the Week” winner. Your 66 Pontiac GTO is gorgeous! We met Dan at the Lakeland Car Show recently. Thanks for becoming a member and sharing your GTO with our viewers. Dan’s GTO has a 389 engine with the Tri-Power upgrade and a 4-speed. This is a rare Post-Coupe. The Pontiac GTO is one of the most popular muscle cars in history.

Car of the Week Winner – Sept 28, 2018

Congrats to Craig Cochran of River Falls, you are this weeks “Car of the Week” winner. Your street legal 70 Camaro/Corvette style Funny Car is one of a kind. We met Craig at the Lakeland Car Show recently. Thanks for becoming a memeber and sharing your story with our viewers. Craig and his car go back a long time since Craig was the original builder of it in 1971. The body was sourced from Karr Mfg., Monson, MA., a 426″ Chrysler wedge engine and Torqueflite transmission was the chosen powertrain. Titled and licensed in 1974, it was driven until 1979, when it was sold to Tim Buamgartner of Bluffton, Indiana. Tim updated the chassis with a full roll cage and changed to a big block Chevy engine in 2006. In early 2017 Craig was able to locate the car and buy it back. Craig decided to go with a 496″ BBC engine built by Rod Flood, Cedar Machine Service located in North Branch MN in 2018 dynoing @ 557 HP with 590 ft-lbs of torque, the car weighs in at just 2,200 lbs. Craig built the car when he was just 26 years old, and is now 73, having just finished the rebuild, this is truly an amazing journey.

This 49 Chevy has a 350 with a 700 R4 Tranny. The paint is a Sassy Grass Green with GM White Pearl to accent it. Great work and congrats on being this weeks winner!

Car of the Week Winner – Sept 14, 2018

Congrats to Chris Pratt of Lakeville, you are this weeks “Car of the Week” winner. Your 67 Camaro is stunning at first glance and only gets better the more you learn about the car. Here’s more in-depth information about the car supplied by Chris. 1967 Camaro pulled out of a shed 16 years ago and transformed into what it is today. A new hood painted to match the Torch Red color and the bumble bee stripe was added about 12 years ago. Rest of the paint and body work is 20yrs old. Since then many upgrades have been done including an all new drive train, new interior, new exhaust and new brakes. It was powered by a 350ci with a Th350 and a 10 bolt rear end with old school lakewood slapper bars. The interior had red crushed velvet seats with aluminum door panels as its previous life was a race car. Installed a fresh 468ci BBC with a TCI TH400 linked to a 3:55 Currie Ford 9” with Caltrac traction bars and stopped by Wilwood disc brakes. Interior is back to a stock appearance with Autometer Guages.

Congrats to Roger of St. Louis Park, you are this week’s “Car of the Week” winner. Your 37 Express Coupe Pickup is a unique find! Studebaker the South Bend Indiana automaker at the time was 22 years ahead of the Chevy El Camino. It was built on the frame of the Studebaker Dictator. It was a car but had the versatility of a truck. Studebaker also was the first to have a double wall box.

Congrats to Joe Gierszewski of Grand Forks, you are this week’s “Car of the Week” winner. Your “56 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop” is gorgeous! The 210 2 Door Sedan painted in Twilight Turquoise with a White two-toned interior. It’s powered with a 350ci V8 mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. The mild cam, 600 holly 4 barrel, headers with dual exhaust give it plenty of get up and go! It features Torque Thrust style wheels with a staggered fit 17″ Front and 18″ Rear.
